We can all picture the scene: your child comes home with a stack of homework to do. They ask for your help, but you have a to-do list the length of your arm. What's more, their Maths homework is tougher than you thought and is taking longer than expected! Plus, it doesn't help that there are so many distractions that prevent your child from focussing (TV, Playstation and social media to name but a few).

 

We strongly encourage all parents to take an active role in supporting their children with their homework, but we understand that sometimes it can be very difficult to maintain this support all the time, especially if you have a large family or work long hours.

 

Students that stay at the Hub during lunch or after school generally have less or no homework to take home, meaning less pressure on students to avoid distractions when they get home and can spend more time with parents and friends doing fun things!
